NEW 国際教養科NEWS　No.91　教育長を表敬訪問（全国英語スピーチコンテスト 優勝）

8月25日（火）、2月に東京で開催された「全国高等学校英語スピーチコンテスト全国大会」で優勝した、国際教養科2年のシェンソイさんが、愛知県教育委員会の纐纈教育長を表敬訪問しました。

愛知県庁西庁舎の教育委員会室にて行われた表敬訪問では、本校の舟橋校長が挨拶を述べた後、後藤教頭から賞の概要や受賞までの経緯を紹介しました。続いて教育長からお祝いの言葉をいただき、シェンソイさんはお祝いに対する感謝とともに、今回の経験から学んだことや今後の決意を力強く述べました。

その後、場所を高等学校教育課室に移し、多くの職員の皆様の前で改めて優勝の報告をすることができました。

お忙しい中、このような貴重な機会を設けていただき、誠にありがとうございました。今回の快挙と教育長からの温かいお言葉は、本人をはじめ、今後の生徒たちの学習の大きな励みとなります。同時に、私たち教職員にとっても、さらなる教育活動への情熱と活力をいただく大変貴重な機会となりました。

Courtesy Visit to Aichi Prefectural Superintendent After Winning National English Speech Contest

On Tuesday, August 25, Shensoy, a second-year student in the International Course, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Tomoyuki Koketsu, the Superintendent of the Aichi Prefectural Board of Education. This visit was to report her victory at the National High School English Speech Contest held in Tokyo this past February.

The courtesy visit took place at the Board of Education Room in the West Building of the Aichi Prefectural Government Office. Following an opening address by our Principal, Ms. Funahashi, Vice Principal Mr. Goto introduced the overview of the contest and the background leading to this prestigious award. Shensoy then expressed her deep gratitude for the congratulations received and gave a powerful speech about what she learned from this experience and her determination for the future.

Afterward, she moved to the Upper Secondary Education Division Office, where she had the wonderful opportunity to report her victory directly to a large number of staff members.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for arranging such a precious opportunity despite a very busy schedule. This remarkable achievement, along with the warm words from Superintendent Koketsu, will serve as a great source of inspiration for Shensoy and all of our students in their future studies. At the same time, for us as faculty and staff, it was a highly valuable experience that has renewed our passion and energy for further educational endeavors.
