First-year students in the International Course held their first online exchange with students from Hyewon Girl’s High School in South Korea. There were cheers when they connected with Korean students for the first time through the screen. After a self-introduction, everyone freely talked about their interests such as hobbies, food, music, anime, and idol groups.
“Even though my English wasn’t perfect, I was happy that we could communicate!” “I want to continue interacting and become friends.” “I want to practice my English more and be able to speak it more!” “In addition to words, smiles and reactions are also important.” There were many positive comments by students in both schools. We plan to continue communicating once a month from now until fall. The next topic is My Dream/Role Model. Keep on learning English with a SMILE! ☺
