Five American students from the YFU International Exchange Foundation have been here in Bihoku High School since late June. Due to the influence of coronavirus, the number of international students accepted was reduced, however from this year, international exchange is finally returning to normal.
Many international students come to Bihoku High School every year, so they study together not only in the international course but also in the regular course. It’s been a long time since so many foreign students have arrived, so our students were very excited to see the exchange students, creating a welcoming storm of excitement. Currently, the international students are getting accustomed to classes and are actively participating in club activities. On Tanabata day, we wrote our wishes on strips of paper [Tanzaku ] and enjoyed this aspect of traditional Japanese culture.
