The Annual field trip to JICA Chubu Nagoya Chikyu Hiroba

On Friday, June 5, the sophomore students of the International Course participated in their annual field trip to JICA Chubu Nagoya Chikyu Hiroba. Prior to the visit, they researched JICA’s activities and prepared questions to make the most of their learning experience.

During the visit, the students listened to valuable first-hand stories about international cooperation. A JICA staff member shared insights into water well construction support in the Republic of Malawi, and an occupational therapist spoke about their experience working at a special needs school in Kenya for two years as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer (JOCV). The students were deeply inspired and actively asked questions, making it a highly meaningful learning experience.

Through this precious experience, we hope that the students will broaden their horizons toward global issues and grow into individuals who can thrive on the world stage in the future.
