Our new student, Martha Schram, is a second-year student in the International Course. In class, she is called Marta, or “Maru-chan.” She is an exchange student through “Youth For Understanding Intercultural Exchange Programs” and came from Germany. April 19th, her first day at Bihoku, was exactly her 16th birthday, and she is one year younger than her classmates. However, she is still doing well in English debate classes. Before coming to Japan, she studied Japanese for one year. So far, it seems that she is better at communicating with her classmates in English. She plans to stay until the end of the second semester. We would like her to learn a lot of Japanese and we all look forward to learning a lot about German culture. Nice to meet you, Maru-chan!
