International Course NEWS No.73 Speech Contest Prefectural Finals Held at Nagoya International Center

On Saturday, November 1st, the Prefectural Finals of the Speech Contest were held at the Annex Hall of the Nagoya International Center. Thirteen students who had won first or second place in their regional qualifying rounds gathered for the event. From Bihoku High School, Yura Nishibe (2nd year, International Culture Course) and Ebrar Sensoy (1st year, International Culture Course) proudly represented their school.

On the same day, other students from the International Culture Course—one 2nd-year student, Saya Ota and Sae Legnau and two 1st-year students, Miki Onuki and Erissa Santos—took on important roles as moderators and timekeepers for the contest. This marks the third consecutive year that students from Bihoku have been entrusted with these responsibilities.

For students in Division II (those with educational experience in English-speaking countries), a Q&A session followed their speeches, giving them a chance to share more about the background and context of their presentations.
